SHAPE-UP PROGRAMS: Music becomes one of the most effective motivations for Gemini's, Libras, and Capricorns. Since they have rhythmic talents, aerobics are especially suitable for them, as is any combination of music and rather formalized exercises. Aries and Sagittarians are brilliant gymnasts, and Leos, being somewhat daredevils, find that working on trapezes or other sports equipment turns exercise into a hobby. Pisceans and Cancers want grace in exercise, so dancing is ideal. Cancers and Taureans often need spot-reducing more than anything and find that programs keyed to these needs bring fast results. Virgos and Scorpios do best when working on or with fitness machinery, as they insist on efficiency even in exercise. Aries and Gemini's want diversity in their exercise regimes, while the Virgos, Taureans, and Capricorns prefer to stick with one tried-and-true course. Taureans and Scorpios find they must set a goal, and have some additional motivation, to stick with a program long enough for it to work.

EASTERN TRADITIONS: The water signs of Scorpio, Cancer, and Pisces are temperamentally more suited to mystical forms of physical exercise because they are naturally intuitive. For these three signs, body conditioning begins and ends with mental exercises. Tai Chi Chuan, yoga, and karate are all ideal interests. For Aries, Leos, and Sagittarians, they need to slow down, so medication, massage, and hot tubs are essential to control stress and bring mental and physical relaxation. Gemini’s, Libras, and Aquarians may fall asleep doing some of the quiet eastern exercises, so kundalini yoga could inspire them to bring body and mind into unison. Other traditions for them would be any holistic approach to health works. They begin by reading and studying all they can, and only then do they evolve to a more physical interest on Oriental styles of fitness. These three signs also find self-defense methods to exercise particularly stimulating.

SPORT: Running is ideal for individualistic Gemini’s, Aquarians, and Sagittarians, all of whom have luck running marathons. Tennis is a marvelous social sport for Libras, Leos, and Cancers. Scorpios and Capricorns take tennis and golf much too seriously, turning then into work. Pisceans and Aries adore the relaxation golf affords; Taureans and Virgos do best with indoor sports such as racquetball, Ping-Pong, or bowling. Capricorns and Scorpios release tension by swimming or sailing; Aquarians and Leos get special pleasure from softball and other team sports.

Seasons of the year make a difference when trying to utilize celestial luck. CAPRICORNS, AQUARIANS, and PISCEANS find their willpower peaks in Jan. and again in June. For CANCERIANS, LEOS and VIRGOS their undoing is summer time entertaining. If these 3 signs can keep away from temptations in May and Aug., they save themselves a year of dieting. LIBRAS, SCORPIOS, AND SAGITTARIANS are overly influenced by friends. They must set a diet and/or exercise plan - and only after they have set a goal should they then reveal it. Finally ARIES, TAUREANS, and GEMINI'S are most likely to love weight before a vacation or trip. These signs have such pride, that they refuse to let old friends see them out of shape. They overindulge most on holidays.
