Few if any chess books need as little introduction or recommendation as Bobby Fischer’s classic MY 60 MEMORABLE GAMES. Considered one of the greatest games collections of all time since it first appeared in the late 1960s, until recently it was tough to find. Those who wanted to get the their hands on it had to either be content with purchasing a controversial “improved” version or hunt down a used copy online. The latter did not come cheaply, with paperbacks starting at $50 and hardbacks at $100 on up. This situation no longer exists as Batsford has just published a complete, unexpurgated edition with but one change to bring Fischer’s opus into the 21st century – the text has been converted from English Descriptive to Algebraic notation. Otherwise the book is exactly the same as the first edition back in 1969.
This book belongs in every chess player’s library.
