One
of the strongest players in U.S. history, this
four-time U.S. Champion from Seattle, Washington
qualified for the World Championship Candidates
series twice and is one of few players in the
world to defeat both Kasparov and Karpov in
tournament competition while they were still
reigning World Champions.
From 1988 until 2000 Yasser's company International
Chess Enterprises (the only chess company listed on a stock exchange)
published Inside Chess magazine. He has authored
thirteen books on chess, including the six books of the award-winning series
published by Microsoft Press. Eclectic and well spoken, Yasser is not available
for lessons but has proven to be a gifted lecturer, as demonstrated during the
IBM Kasparov - Deep Blue matches.
