A couple of weeks ago Mary and I bicycled to the Mayan to see Darren Aronofsky’s latest, THE WRESTLER.

Mary hated it. Too much blood during the thumbtacks-and-broken-glass match.

I liked it. THE WRESTLER throbs with pain, addiction, madness, and delusion. It’s a pounding turbo-charged hyper-cranked down-and-dirty Greek tragedy.  Mickey Rourke is perfectly cast in the role of Randy “The Ram” Robinson and gives a great performance.  You’ll like the hard-driving music too.
