Jeremy Silman Bio
Jeremy Silman is an International Master of chess and a world-class teacher, lecturer, writer, and player who has won the American Open, the National Open, and the U.S. Open.
Considered by many to be the gameís preeminent instructive writer, he is the author of thirty-nine chess books (many of which have been translated into French, German, and Italian), including the 4th edition of How to Reassess Your Chess, Silmanís Complete Endgame Course, The Amateurís Mind, The Complete Book of Chess Strategy, and The Reassess Your Chess Workbook.
Other writings include hundreds of articles for a variety of chess magazines and websites, a screenplay that was optioned by LMK Productions, Inc., and Zen and the Art of Casino Gaming (co-authored with Miron Stabinsky).
Jeremy helped create the chess scene in the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcererís Stone, and he served as chess consultant on TV shows such as Monk, Criminal Minds (twice), Malcolm in the Middle, and HBOís Arliss.
